Adonai Ministries International was founded in January 2006 by Bishop Jafred Khamala and Pamela with a vision of planting raising a Christ-centered Spirit-led church in a rural market called Dorofu. It is a fully registered and recognized ministry with the government of Kenya. What began with 32 members out of which my wife and I were the only adults in a rented hall that could accommodate up to a couple is believers has grown tremendously into a big place of worship, discipleship, revival and life transformation. The church now owns land and buildings.

The early years of the ministry were characterized by foundational teachings, outreaches and developing a strong sense of community.  This was made possible through programs such as Adonai Kids., Adonai Youth of destiny, home cell meetings, leadership training and development.

God has really blessed this ministry moving from a membership of 32 to 500 at the moment. Our vision has constantly expanded to international missions. When we realized that we had a burden to reach out to members away from the church locale, we decided to engage in church planting. So far we have planted 14 churches: 12 churches are in Kenya while 2 are in Uganda. Plans are underway to plant more churches in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and even the United States of America.
